The centerpiece is a vintage Japanese wood folk-art Kokeshi doll

I started laying out the central motif and then went from there cutting and arranging sections to the background which is a fabulous yellow ochre felt

I settled on using it as the centrepiece to a bigger pendant and have added more of my own beadwork to tie it in
